Fantasy Friday: Yasuke

Hi everyone! This is a new segment on the NAC news page, every Friday we'll be highlighting a historical or mythological figure from African and Caribbean History. Today we have Yasuke, who falls in the former category. Yasuke was an African man who became the first foreign-born samurai in Japan. The history of this black samurai is well recorded in Japanese culture and the epic tales of his charisma, intelligence, strength and skill can be confused with fiction, if it were not true.
